Sungai Tua, Ulu Yam

Assalamualaikum. Alhamdulillah, together with my cousin, Luqman, we went to Ulu Yam without a specific reason. We have planned the trip a day before though.

At 8 p.m, I went to Gombak to fetch him. We stopped by at Fikri's stall for having our breakfast. It's better to eat here rather than in Ulu Yam. Who knows what kind of price charged on us for foods. At nine, we began our journey.

Ulu Yam is supposedly to be 23 kilometres which makes it 38 minutes from my home. I set the GPS to go to Ulu Yam. We have a good start until we tried to exit from Jalan Batu Caves.

To be honest, I have completely forgot the route of our destination. So, we went with the flow of traffic. The GPS stated that we have to enter the highway. We strayed along the road until we made a mistake by entering the wrong junction AGAIN.

We went into newly opened highway. Ouch. After a long series of wrongly made decision, we reached there. The GPS said we have reached our destination yet we don't see any signs of waterfall and even natural water sources. In that moment, we knew that the GPS had lead us to other places, so, we decided to ask for help from people nearby. Eventually, the place that we want to go was Sungai Tua. Those kind people informed us that Ulu Yam is actually a town, not the specific name for the river. HAHA.

After several minutes of passing by Ulu Yam Baru and Ulu Yam Lama, we reached our destination at 12 o'clock sharp. Alhamdulillah.

Subhanallah. Nice isn't? We spent an hour there and 5 minutes at the waterfall. The natural lushing greeneries in those places made me forgot about the hectic life in the city. Everything is calm and peaceful. Other visitors were enjoying the environment too back then. Icy gushing water streams flown restlessly gives bonus attraction to the wonderful creations of Allah.

We went home after that, it took us 20 minutes only =.= Anyway, it was a superb experience as it was my first time driving car with the help of GPS and reached Ulu Yam for the first time without my family. I wish that we will go together. I have decided to go there again before entering the university for undergoing the fourth semester. InsyaAllah.

Any followers? :) Assalamualaikum.
